Important COVID-19 announcement from the Evansville Bar Association

Due to health concerns raised by the coronavirus pandemic, Vanderburgh Superior Court has temporarily suspended in-person attendance of the mandatory parental education program for separating or divorcing parents, Co-Parenting for Successful Kids, conducted by the Purdue Extension-Vanderburgh County. The Vanderburgh Superior Court will temporarily approve without further request the attendance of the on-line version of Co-Parenting for Successful Kids through the Purdue Extension-Vanderburgh County. Registration is on-line at https://purduecoparenting.org. The cost for the on-line classes is $50.00 and said cost cannot be waived by the Court. The Purdue Extension-Vanderburgh County shall remain the sole Vanderburgh Superior Court approved provider of the mandatory seminar for separating or divorcing parents, both in-person or on-line. Prior Court approval of a different on-line course would be necessary before the other on-line course would be deemed to fulfill the mandatory parental education program requirement. Parties currently registered or attending in-person classes with the Purdue Extension-Vanderburgh County will be contacted and allowed to attend or complete the classes on-line. Once the on-line course is completed, the Purdue Extension-Vanderburgh County will email the participant the certificate of completion, so the participant can send the certificate to their lawyers or to the Vanderburgh County Clerk’s Office to have the completion certificate placed on their case’s Chronological Case Summary. The Court will send notice when in-person attendance of the Co-Parenting for Successful Kids by the Purdue Extension-Vanderburgh County becomes required and available again.

It was very obvious from our first meeting that he was a family man by the way he showed concern for our wellbeing and was very protective over us in ...Read More
