Wills & Estates

Indiana’s will law is similar to that of many other states. In order for a will to be valid it must be witnessed by 2 disinterested parties. That means neither of the witnesses can benefit by what is given under the will. Both witnesses and the individual signing the will must sign the document in each other’s presence. In other words one witness may not sign the will on one day at one location and the other one signed it on another day and another location.
